A TRIP INTO THE 19TH CENTURY - GUIDED TOUR AT PORZELLANIKON HOHENBERG A.D. EGER
For the high society of the 19th century, regular visits to the spa were part of good manners. Visitors to Porzellanikon Hohenberg a.d. Eger on Sunday, 23 July 2023 from 2 p.m. can find out all about what these famous personalities experienced on a guided tour. The discovery tour leads into a Bohemian spa with the typical fountain cures, salons befitting one's status and festive tables in the evening. Always present: the enchanting Bohemian porcelain.
The special exhibition "Luxury, Wellness, Porcelain - A Day at the Bohemian Spa" focuses on the typical daily routine and leisure activities of spa guests. Whether morning toilette or evening entertainment, Bohemian porcelain is the main protagonist. Even the most famous Austrian imperial couple dined on tableware made in the Klösterle porcelain factory in Bohemia. The breakfast service of Empress Elisabeth, called "Sisi", and the so-called "Krickerlservice", which belonged to her husband Emperor Franz Joseph I, can be admired in the exhibition.
