Opening of the studio exhibition by Jiří Kožíšek at Porzellanikon Hohenberg a.d. Eger
On Thursday, 29 June 2023, at 6:00 p.m., the special exhibition by Jiří Kožíšek with his unique works of art will open at Porzellanikon - State Museum of Porcelain, Hohenberg a.d. Eger. The graduate of the Karlovy Vary School of Ceramics convinced the jury of the Porcelain Market Jury Prize in 2022 and thus won the studio exhibition. In his profession as an industrial designer, he creates serially produced tableware and combines corporate quality standards with modern forms. In 1990, he was awarded the prize for the best product by the Ministry of Industry of the Czech Republic for his achievements. At the same time, the Karlovy Vary artist also works freely with ceramics and porcelain. Kožíšek's works include lithophanes with floral elements or geometric patterns and imaginative figures with their own unique facial expressions. He often highlights the transparency of the material with the help of light effects and colour accents. In this way, Kožíšek uses the aesthetic quality of porcelain to create his special works of art.
The exhibition can be seen at Porzellanikon Hohenberg a.d. Eger from 30 June to 13 August 2023. Registration for the opening of Jiří Kožíšek's studio exhibition at besuchercenter(at)porzellanikon.org or tel. +49 9287 918000.
A new winner will also be chosen this year.
