Senior Citizens' Afternoon at Porzellanikon Hohenberg
On Wednesday, 16 February 2022, an afternoon for senior citizens entitled "Colourful Drinking Culture" will take place at Porzellanikon - State Museum of Porcelain, Hohenberg a.d. Eger. It starts at 2 p.m.: Curator Thomas Miltschus will take participants on a tour of the permanent exhibition, during which they will learn interesting facts about the development of the drinking culture of tea, coffee and chocolate since the 18th century. Why do cups and pots for the respective drinks look different and how can you tell which drink belongs to which tableware? The tour is followed by a creative programme. Paints and brushes are available and everyone can paint a piece of porcelain of their own choice under the guidance of an experienced porcelain painter. Afterwards, visitors can get together over coffee and cake to exchange ideas and ask the curator questions. The next dates are 16 March, 27 April and 18 May 2022.
The senior programmes deal with changing topics and last approximately 2 hours. The price is €9.50 plus museum admission per person and includes guided tour, creative programme and coffee and cake. Registration is required and can be made at besuchercenter(at)porzellanikon.org or by calling +49 9287-918000. The 2G-Plus rule applies. Corona quick tests are available at the museum box office for a fee of 4.50 euros. Persons who have received a booster vaccination (3rd vaccination) are exempt from the regulation.
