Seniors' afternoon with "Fantastic animal figures"
On Wednesday, 15 December 2021, at 2 p.m., there will once again be an afternoon for senior citizens at the Porzellanikon - State Museum of Porcelain, Hohenberg a.d. Eger. The focus is on porcelain animal figures, which were already very popular with porcelain lovers in the 18th century. Curator Thomas Miltschus will take the participants on a search for clues under the motto "Fantastic Beasts" to trace the development of animal figures over time, whose design has changed again and again since the 18th century. Afterwards, the participants can give free rein to their imagination and creativity in a joint workshop and model their own animal figure. Whether a real animal or a mythical creature - everyone can decide for themselves. Afterwards, visitors can get together over coffee and cake to exchange ideas and ask the curator questions. The next dates are 19 January, 16 February and 19 March 2022.
The senior programmes deal with changing topics and last about 2 hours. The price is €9.50 plus museum admission per person and includes guided tour, creative programme and coffee and cake. Registration is required and can be made at besuchercenter(at)porzellanikon.org or by calling +49 9287-918000. The 2G-Plus rule applies.
