THE CHRISTMAS FACTORY AT PORZELLANIKON IS IN FULL SWING!
The Christmas factory at Porzellanikon - Staatliches Museum für Porzellan, Selb, is in full swing. On Sunday, 5 December 2021, all those interested can already plan their Christmas tree decorations under the title "Tree decorations". Different porcelain pieces such as angels, snowmen, bells and many other motifs can be selected and decorated with bright colours. Great fun for the whole family. On Sunday, 12 December 2021, things will get really exciting! The Whites from Tomorrowland are on their way and what have they not experienced? The mascots of the Porzellanikon, the Selblings, have fought their way through snow and ice, have been on summer holiday and have had many other adventures. Now they are about to embark on a Christmas trip. Together with the museum team, a film set is made and an exciting animated film is shot, which is then watched on a big screen. The main actors are, of course, the individually designed Selblings. All sessions start at 2.30 pm and last about 2.5 hours. The cost of materials is 3.00 euros. The programme includes a tour of porcelain production. Those who still don't know what to give as a gift have the opportunity to quickly make their own "last-minute Christmas gifts" on Sunday, 19 December 2021. At this workshop, there are no limits to creativity when crafting funny objects out of broken glass or decorating various porcelain pieces and figurines for sale with names or motifs. The programme runs continuously from 11:00 to 16:00 and is not bound to a fixed time. Within the specified duration, everyone can come and go as they please.
All programmes are suitable for children from 6 years of age. Admission is free for children up to 18 years of age. Adults pay 1.00 Euro Sunday admission. The 2G-Plus rule applies for adults as well as for children over 12. A voluntary test is offered for children under 12. Registration is required at besuchercenter(at)porzellanikon.org or tel. +49 9287-918000.
